The different colours allow you to choose to work according to colour coding.
Colour coding prevents cleaning materials from being mixed up in different departments or rooms. A red shadow board, for example, always has red work materials, a blue shadow board has blue work materials, and so on.
Shadow boards are made of Dibond which ensures that they are very sturdy and will last for years with normal use. The laminate layer makes the boards easy to take off and also makes them less prone to scratches.
